Best burger on the south side if Chicago, maybe all of Chicago. Also don't skip the root beer shake!

My favorite go-to spot. Love the old school vibe! The portions are generous and made with years of skill. They know what they're doing and do it right. For breakfast, the over easy eggs are perfection. For lunch or dinner I, of course, love their burgers, it's what they are famous for. I've also tried the Rueben- yummy; and the BLT which was also good. Be sure to order a shake or malt to go with your meal!! An absolute must when visiting Beverly Hills.

When you walk through the door it's like you've been transported back in time in a good way, it has a real old school vibe to it. Can't say the food was life changing or anything like that but it was very good. My milkshake even came in a metal cup so I could pour the rest into my glass. If you're looking for really good burgers and shakes with great service and a touch of nostalgia then this is your spot.

This diner has such a fantastic old-school vibe! I absolutely love the old school neighborhood feel. I was thrilled to find a malt on the menu since I haven't had one in years. We ordered a vanilla malt, a turkey burger, and a hamburger. Oh my gosh, everything was absolutely delicious. The burgers are enormous, the fries are perfectly crispy, and the malt... oh my gosh, the malt! I adore everything about this place, from the ambiance to the service to the food. It's definitely a must-visit. Next time, I'm definitely trying that patty melt that looks so delicious!

TOP NOTCH is Its name, TOP NOTCH! You can't go wrong . Everything is Good. No matter what season of the year it is. Doesn't matter if you're a local or a tourist. What really matters, is that you leave there full and satisfied. Yesssssss in deed Ohhhh the milkshakes are delicious too

This is a longstanding burger spot. The food is greasy and delicious, with no frills. There are very few places that can make a great patty melt, and this is certainly one of them. The fries are crisp and perfect for dipping in the milkshakes - strawberry is my favorite. Portions are generous. Service is friendly, but can be a bit slow - when we went today, our drinks arrived after our entrees. There are absolutely no frills here - it retains many of the old charms from when it opened 75+ years ago, though could be due for a small facelift. It feels evident that Top Notch is a proud member of the community.

My sister and I went for an old fashioned burger...they did NOT disappoint! Half pounder I knew I couldn't eat it all so I cut it in half for later, it was delicious and the pickles were fresh! Onion rings were good too!
